Any establishment can define itself as a "neighborhood" spot by its immediate location or surroundings. But being a true neighborhood place requires that we also be good neighbors, by supporting the efforts of our local partners and by welcoming you to feel as comfortable as you are in your own home.
During the summer season, try our fish stew that combines ingredients from many of our farmers. Woodbury Shellfish of Wellfleet provides littleneck clams; garlic, greens, and herbs come from Allandale Farm in Brookline; the potatoes are from Parker Farm in Lunenburg. Likewise, during our fall and winter seasons you can bet on delicious root vegetables from Allandale Farm that we serve roasted and caramelized with our all-natural, humanely raised, grass-fed beef from select Massachusetts farms.
For starters, we shop like Europeans: close to home and in our communities. Instead of an exhaustive, static selection of options that may require ingredients from far and wide, our smaller, more mindful menu is jam-packed with handmade delectables that draw upon fresh ingredients from carefully selected local purveyors. Our menu isn't based upon whim; it's built with deference to seasonal rhythms of what's locally fresh and available, wild and organic, and consistent with our commitment to the highest of quality standards.
The beverages at Ten Tables keep to this philosophy as well. We create all of the ingredients that we mix with spirits. Our wine list constantly evolves, giving us the opportunity to share the creations of small, family vineyards that practice organic or biodynamic winemaking. Similarly, we select brewers whose commitment to their craft creates beers to complement nearly any meal we serve. We even have our own signature TT Brew, a tasty ale created for us by the Berkshire Brewing Company in South Deerfield, MA.
Ten Tables' Lavender Fizz is one of our most refreshing summertime cocktails. We infuse vodka with fresh lavender from Allandale Farm, and blend it with a puree of Blue Heron Farm blueberries, and top it off with a touch of honey sweetness from our beekeeper Mike Grainey in Jamaica Plain. Come fall and winter, you'll want to warm your belly with our JP Hottie &ndash Calvados French apple brandy combined with our homemade cider with apples from Allandale farm.
We also strive to minimize our neighborhood impact however we can. Rather than bringing another loud, dirty delivery truck to our sites, our produce and dairy deliveries arrive daily via Metro Pedal Power, a bike delivery service serving Boston and Cambridge neighborhoods. We're doing our part to help our neighbors breathe a little more easily.
Of all the places we've dined over the years, both around Boston and abroad, the homey places that feel like a dinner party are the ones that remain most memorable. With that as our guide, our lights are dimmed as an invitation for you to relax by candlelight, and to sit back and enjoy our attentive but unobtrusive service.
Whether you join us in Jamaica Plain, Cambridge or Provincetown, welcome to our neighborhoods! We hope you'll come to call us a second home.
